AQUATIC THERAPY(WATSU) (Reg) This is a very relaxing therapy that reconnects you to your precious inner self. You are supported by the aquatic therapist while gently floated about in warm water and slowly stretched, rocked, cradled, and held with care. Allow your worries and fears to drift away. Watsu is experienced differently by each person; typical comments are: "it was like I was flying" "I felt like I was back in the womb" "I am sooo...relaxed!" Watsu is a relaxing and often sensuous experiece. In a therapeutic session such as this, it is not meant to be sexual. It is somewhat similar to a massage done in water. For people who do not know if they are ready for a Watsu, I suggest trying the water therapy below or call me with your questions. Watsu available April to mid September. 45.00 for 45 min, 60.00 for 60 min.
WATER LOUNGE MASSAGE In Water Lounge Massage, you are supported by and incredibly comfortable pool lounger that still puts most of your body in water. The aquatic therapist works with you by swirling the lounger around in slow movements while massaging your body somewhat like you'd receive on a massage table. Warm water helps lessen resistance and holding patterns. Just being in the pool lounger is enough to relax you! 45.00 for 45 min, 60.00 for 60 min.
FOOT REFLEXOLOGY Sometimes referred to as zone therapy, this bodywork involves application of pressure to these reflex zones to stimulate body organs and relieve areas of congestion. Reflexology works with the body's energy flow to stimulate self-healing and maintain balance in physical function. Reflexology is used today to reduce pain, increase relaxation, stimulate circulation of blood and lymphatic fluids, and alleviate many chronic conditions. 45.00 for 45 min.
HOT STONE MASSAGE Warmed stones placed on the body encourage the exchange of blood and lymph while bringing you into a state of deep relaxation as you connect with the earth energy. You are then massaged with warmed stones. This treatment is great anytime, but particularly appreciated in colder times of the year. Book ahead of time, sessions are 90 minutes long and take a little time to prepare. 90.00 for 90 min.
MECHANICAL MASSAGE This treatment utilizes up to four different massage devices. The Swingmaster moves the legs side to side, sending a subtle loosening wave up the spine as you relax and breathe deeply. The Infratonic QGM is an extraordinary advance in pain management technology. It operates by amplifying the infrasonic sound of the human body, which invigorates the local area and facilitates neurons, improving the nerve communication pathways to the brain. Translation: This device tends to take away pain. Great for inflammation. Doctors have reported excellent pain relief in cases of painful sprains and broken or dislocated bones. The Acu-Tap II is a heavy duty electric massager that is popular in Japan. It's pressure/force can be very strong, even on the lower settings for some people. Works great on people who always say that the massage is never deep enough! Try it! Finally, the Pressure Bar. This device works muscles very close to the spine that fingers cannot usually reach. Intense treatment for many people, but effective. No need to remove clothing for any of these. Do one or all four in a single session. 60.00 for 60 min.
BODYTALK (tm) The BodyTalk System facilates communication with the innate wisdom of the body by using neuromuscular feedback. This feedback provides the practitioner with a "yes" or "no" answer to any question that is asked of the body. By then integrating a series of tapping, breathing, and focusing techniques, balance is achieved. BodyTalk does not require diagnosis and therefore is within the scope of practice of LMTs and bodyworkers. The intention is to help the body synchronize and balance its parts (organs, endocrines, lymph, brain, meridians, etc.) so they communicate effortlessly and heal themselves. This treatment can be done fully clothed and is non-invasive. 50.00 for 30 to 60 min. treatment.

GOLDEN POINTS ACUPRESSURE Acupressure is an ancient healing art that uses the fingers to press key points on the surface of the skin to stimulate the body's natural self-curative abilities. When these points are pressed, they release muscular tension and promote the circulation of blood and the body's life force(Qi/Chi). Acupuncture and Acupressure use the same points, but acupuncture employs needles, while acupressure uses the gentle but firm pressure of hands. Acupressure uses the power and sensitivity of the human hand. Point holding can shift your emotional state and may help with a number of conditions. 60.00 for 60 min.
